Linda Sams

Linda has worked in all facets of the aquaculture industry in both Canada and Australia in some of the world’s leading salmon farming organizations over her 40-year career and maintains strong international aquaculture networks. As a marine biologist, Linda is an experienced operations and organizational leader, with a strong background and valuable experience and knowledge in the areas of aquaculture production, applied research, corporate governance and social responsibility, operations management, environmental science, government relations, communications, and engagement. She has also had the privilege to work with many rural and remote coastal communities and numerous indigenous organizations and coastal First Nations over the span of her career. Now as a board director, she is now working on the important work of supporting the development of a dedicated, indigenous science and research organization.
