A Celebration of Indigenous-Led Success
The Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference (IROC) is a landmark Indigenous-led conference for advancing Indigenous economic participation in BC’s natural resource sector. In it’s 10th year, IROC 2026 brought together First Nations leadership, government representatives, resource developers, and industry partners for three days of keynotes, panel discussions, and relationship-building focused on responsible and respectful resource development.
Building respectful, equitable partnerships between Indigenous Nations and Canada’s resource sector rooted in consent, stewardship, and shared prosperity.

Welcome Chiefs, Councillors, Elders, resource developers, businesses and Government representatives to the Indigenous Resource Opportunities Conference.
We were excited to again host this First Nations-led conference with a focus on sharing success stories of First Nations, resource developers and the Government working together to advance positive projects. Since the launch of the original series conference, many successful partnerships now exist that are bringing significant benefits to First Nations, resource developers, businesses and all levels of Government. When First Nations communities are healthy and have opportunities, we all benefit.
The conference lays the foundation for future partnerships and resulting benefits for First Nations and the resource sector.
Our History

From a conversation between Nations and industry leaders in 2008, IROC has grown into BC’s most significant Indigenous-led resource conference. Each year, it brings together the voices, partnerships, and decisions that shape the future of the sector.
