Michael (Mike) Lambert was raised in BC’s north-eastern energy region in Dawson Creek, BC. From 1982 to 2005, Mike moved through a number of progressively responsible and varied environmental positions with the BC Environment ministry at several regional locations from Fort St. John through Prince George, Kamloops and Nanaimo.
In June 2005, Mike was appointed Associate Deputy Minister and led the Integrated Land Management Bureau from Victoria.
Mike left the BC Public Service in 2010 after 25 years and joined Encana Corporation in Calgary as an Environment and Land Use Advisor.
In 2012, Mike joined Pacific NorthWest LNG in Vancouver and led the Environment and Regulatory Division until 2017. While at PNW, Mike’s team achieved two significant positive environmental assessment decisions, from BC in 2014 and from Canada in 2016.
Mike started his own environmental consulting business, MLCA Consulting Solutions Inc. in 2017. His firm specializes in the management of environmental assessments and environmental due diligence exercises. His clients have included a multi-national energy company, BC and Alberta based transportation and energy companies and an Environmental Non-Government Organization.
Mike earned an Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo in 1998. Mike resides in Nanaimo and has been married to wife Colleen for 42 years and has two adult children and is the proud grandfather to granddaughter Sam and twin grandsons Greg and David.
