Robert Diaz has worked with many Indigenous communities across British Columbia, Alberta, and the Northwest Territories for over 25 years. With a strong background in documenting Indigenous Rights and Title to negotiating modern day treaties and Impact Benefit Agreements, Rob takes pride in appreciating and understanding all the communities he works with.
His commitment is indicative of the many long-lasting relationships that he has with the Nations that he represents. Rob’s fair and principled approach towards Aboriginal relations, research, consultation, and negotiations has garnered much respect from the communities he serves as well as from the industries and governments involved.
He is widely known for his work in Indigenous Traditional Land Use and Occupancy, strength of claim studies, modern treaty negotiations, consultation management, economic development, and Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) certification projects. Rob has been involved in negotiations regarding several major project developments, as well as developing innovative partnerships with contract values of over one billion dollars. As a professional, Rob’s focus continues to be a commitment to working with Indigenous groups to create effective, sustainable, and prosperous relationships.
