Deputy Chief Councillor Isaiah Robinson

Isaiah Robinson, the Deputy Chief Councillor of the Kitasoo Xai’xais Nation and the General Manager of the Kitasoo Development Corporation, plays a crucial role in supporting and advancing the work initiated by both elected leaders and the development corporation’s leadership. Since his return to his homeland in 2016, Isaiah has been instrumental in managing the Housing and Public Works Department before transitioning to his current roles. His dedication to his community’s economic foundation is evident as he pursues further education through an MBA at Simon Fraser University.

Isaiah’s tenure has been marked by a commitment to continuing the economic successes of his predecessors, contributing to an impressive 99% employment rate in his community. This achievement is in part due to the strategic partnerships in aquaculture and forestry that have been nurtured over nearly three decades. These industries have not only become economic staples for the Kitasoo Xai’xais Nation but have also laid a solid foundation for its ongoing prosperity.
